World As Lover, World As Self: Theory and Practice of the Work That Reconnects
September 26 - 28, open to everyone
September 28 - October 3, restricted to people with previous experience. Participation in the entire week is encouraged.
To heal our world we need to experience it afresh: as a living system where we are interconnected with all beings. This vision is found in the new sciences, in deep ecology, and in all religions and indigenous traditions. It explains both our pain for the world and our power to bring lasting change. In the Work That Reconnects, we find courage and community for living this vision for the healing of our world. It will engage us in truth-telling, silence, sound, interactive exercises and improvisational role play as we learn to draw power and resilience for the sacred living body of Earth.
The Work That Reconnects unfolds as a spiral that takes us through four stages: gratitude, honoring our pain for the world, seeing with new eyes and going forth. We will experience the spiral in both the weekend and the subsequent days; the second part designed to enable a different and yet deeper experience and understanding of the work.
