  • Fran’s 5 years as Peace Corps director in Nigeria, Tunisia, and India provided formative experiences for Joanna and their three children, 1964-69

  • Fran, a Soviet specialist and lover of Russian culture, co-taught intensives with Joanna and took Deep Ecology Work to countries of the former Soviet Union.
